Trump Secretly Transferred From Air Force One to a C-32A While Departing Türkiye

It has emerged that a security operation was carried out during U.S. President Donald Trump’s departure from Türkiye on July 8. According to footage released and an investigation by The Washington Post, Trump and several accompanying officials were secretly transferred from the Boeing 747 serving as Air Force One at Ankara Esenboğa Airport to a U.S. Air Force C-32A aircraft.

The footage shows a catering truck positioned alongside the Boeing 747, with its elevated container raised to the level of the aircraft door. This allowed Trump and the accompanying officials to leave the aircraft without being seen by members of the press. Trump then reportedly boarded the C-32A, a specially configured version of the Boeing 757 used to transport the president and other senior U.S. officials.

As part of the operation, the Boeing 747 continued its departure as if Trump were still aboard, creating the impression that the president was traveling on the aircraft. Meanwhile, the C-32A operated under the call sign “Reach 18,” making it more difficult to determine which aircraft was carrying the president.

The security operation reportedly continued in the United Kingdom. The C-32A arrived at RAF Mildenhall before the Boeing 747 serving as Air Force One, while Trump was later publicly seen disembarking from the Boeing 747. Trump subsequently transferred to the new Air Force One, a Boeing 747-8, for his onward journey to Washington. The exact circumstances and timing of Trump’s transfer from the C-32A back to the Boeing 747 have not been publicly disclosed.
